Hi Geni Huston Family, I research the HUSTON / HOUSTON surname, and in need of my fellow Geni's with Ancestry for help. I haven't gotten past the ( correct) father of WILLIAM HUSTON, who was a Pvt. in the 1 st. W. Vir. Cavalry, Company A, Gettysburg - Civil War. He was mustered in 14 Sept. 1861 and out 03 Dec. 1864. But according to records he served many times leaving behind his wife & children for months at a time. He was born _____ Aug. 1838 in Washington County, PA. and married to ELIZA HURLEY & had 8 children. He died bef. 1936 and is buried in the Veteran's Sec. in The Washington Cemetery in Washington, PA. He also was a coal miner. ELIZA HURLEY, was born 28 Aug. 1846, d/o WILLIAM HURLEY ( a saddle maker) & SARAH A. DRAKE. She died: 12 Nov. 1913 @ age of 68 at her home in S. Strabane Twp. Washington Co., PA. and is buried @ Speer Springs Cemetery in PA. I haven't worked on this HUSTON / HOUSTON line in quite a while, at one time I had my WILLIAM HUSTON as being the son of: WILLIAM HUSTON, SR. (but I didn't keep good references) and I changed his father to: HUGH HUSTON born abt 1810 married t:o RACHEL GLASS born in Ohio, d/o ESTHER GLASS, (father unknown) If I remember faintly that I changed the names because of a Probate Will, and don't think that I interpreted it correctly ? ? ? ? ? Now I need assistance to verify his father's name, can any one help me get this line of HUSTON's in proper order of who is the father of my WILLIAM HUSTON ? Who is the father of my G - Grandfather: ALBERT PROWITT HUSTON, born: ____ Jun. 1882 in Washington, PA. In the 1930 Census Albert was married at the age of 21, married to: ALBERTA ELNA REED ( she was 15 when married) they are buried @ The Washington, PA. Cemetery) CARPE DIEM, Lori ; ) in Arizona formally from Washington, PA. CHUCKLE: If you want to have the last loving words, write obituaries.
