A check of History of Bucks County Pennsylvania, edited by J. H. Battle (The Reprint Company Publishers, Spartanburg, South Carolina, 1985, page 1057), shows three Shicks living in the area of Quakertown. Though there is no Minnie, John or Martha, perhaps you may be able to find a connection here. The reference reads as follows: "Reverend J. F. Ohl, pastor of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, P.O. Quakertown, was born June 26, 1850, in Cherryville, Northampton County, Pa, and is the son of Milton Ohl and his wife, Mary Elizabeth, a daughter of Alexander and Rebecca Shick.... That is all that is listed in connection with the last name Shick. Good luck with your search! I'm hoping someone can help me....> My great-grandmother was Minnie T. Shick, who married Albert T. Andrew from Maryland. Her dates were from about 1868-1947. I believe her parents were John and Martha and that she had a brother named Edwin. If you know anything you can share, I would appreciate it.> > Kari Andrew Farnell> researching Andrew, Shick, Alford, Fischbach, Appel, Lomax, Harrison> > > *********> Visit the threaded archives of this list: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/PENNSYLVANIA> *********> > -------------------------------> To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to PENNSYLVANIA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message _________________________________________________________________ Need to know now?
