Just in case there are any other folks in the world searching the OSENCUP/OSINCUP (and other variations) surname, here is a little info on my line: Jacob OSENCOPE d aft 1820 prob. Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne Co., PA; Children: Betsey m Stephen Gilbert BARNES b 1782, Henry, Sarah m BARNES and Nancy b c 1800 m John LaFRANCE (my line). It is believed Jacob was a Hessian soldier who deserted from the Revolutionary War. Have found mention of an Andreas OCHSENKOPF (Ger. spelling), but no Jacob. Jacob may have deserted or lived in Orange Co., NY later moving to PA. Anyone???
