Thank you Kathy for the offer. Their names were John King and Eva Baker both born in 1901 in Sussex Co DE. I do not believe they were married at the time but traveled back and forth together on my grandfather's motorcycle. They probably lived in a boarding house or something like that during the week and came home on the weekends. Here is an interesting site with marriages listed by bride's name. There are thousands of marriages along with some births and deaths listed from other websites along with the source url. They are from mainly the US, but some from Europe and Australia. _http://brideindex.info_ (http://brideindex.info) Just ignore the political garbage at the beginning. I have been trying to locate the marriage record for my grandparents, Joseph E. Paynter and Carrie Idelia Gray. She was his second wife. His first wife died in 1908 and I found census records for him still a widower on his own in 1910 and the children of his first marraige living with their maternal grandparents that year. Joe and Carrie's first child was born in August, 1913, so that tells me that they married sometime between 1910 and 1913. They lived in Waymart, Wayne County, PA. Her parents lived in Wilkes-Barre but she lived in South Canaan with her great-grandfather prior to her marriage. I have looked in the Wayne County, Luzerne County, and Susquehanna Countycourt house records with no luck. If anyone cout there could check any of the surrounding counties for this marraige record, I would greatly appreciate any infomation you can find. I live in Maryland so can only make a research trips up to Pennsylvania for on-site research once a year. Lois Rose

Just forwarding this to get to any Anderson's in Pennsylvania!? They aren't mine. -----Original Message----- From: Brian <rhinehartroots@yahoo.com> To: anderson@rootsweb.com Sent: Thu, 31 Jul 2008 5:59 pm Subject: [ANDERSON] Thomas and June (Hay) Anderson, b 1779 and 1784, Pennsylvania Hello.? I was an at antique mall today and ran across something interesting.? Someone was selling a very old looking, handwritten family register for the family of Thomas and June/Jane (Hay) Anderson.? They were born in 1779 and 1784 in Pennsylvania. ? They had the following children listed: ? Thomas, born 11 Jan 1811 in PA? married Lydia Bechtel Margaret, born 29 Aug 1812, married Charles Snider David, born 30 Jun 1814 in PA, married Hannah Hamnill/Hamill Anna, born 27 Apr 1816 in PA, married William Anderson James(?), born 7 Nov 1818 in PA, no marriage listed Mary, born 8 Mar 1821 in PA, married Mills Harrod daughter, born 20 Sep 1823 in PA, no marriage listed (she probably died young, since she had no name listed) ? The writing on this was faded and therefore, parts were difficult to read.? There were other listings, I think they might have been grandchildren.? I think I remember the last name McCord too.? A quick search of this family on the internet has one source listing them as being born in Franklin county, Pennsylvania, and relocating to Knox county, Ohio.? ? I have to relation to this family, and do not stand to profit anything from this.? I am simply trying to pass along the information in case someone is related and would like to know how to obtain it.? If it were my family, I would be thrilled to know it was out there somewhere. ? If you would like to know more, please contact me and I can get you in contact with the antique mall. ?
