I am looking for the whereabouts of the case files for the children 'out placed' by the Pennsylvania Children's Aid Society between 1909 -1920's. Is there an index of these children? I know at one time the Pennsylvania Historical Society had some of these case files. Do they still? I have a good friend whose father was placed with a family (Mennonite, I think), and he never knew his parents. His father is now passed on, and my friend would like to know who his grandparents were. Any help locating these files would be greatly appreciated. 3. Could someone look up the birth of: Gertrude Thompson December 12, 1879 (possibly Pennsylvania Dutch or Quaker) on her death certificate it only give place of birth as Pennsylvania and No record of Parents. Family grapevine is that she was a Quaker or Pa Dutch but was "shunned" when she married her husband George King a Catholic. she died March 26, 1923 with information given by her husband George King 6200 Baltimore Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa. Thanks Pat Sullivan

    3. The only way to get the complete information that you are seeking is if you write the Church where the marriage was performed and ask for a copy of the church record. That is the marriage certificate that I have for both sets of my grandparents. The ones from Vital Stats are as you describe. Delores
