Yesterday and today when I receive my digest emails it says "Sorry. We cannot read this message. It is no longer on the server." Is there a problem with Rootsweb? I remember people with AOL were having problems recently but I've never had this problem?
Many thanks to all you wonderful people for the information about Solomon and his family. Special thanks to Lynn for the Maryland GS Bulletin -where did you find that amazing piece of information - I wonder if the question of Solomon's parentage was ever answered. My son-in-law, Richard David Hartley, (Solomon's g/g/g/grandson) is delighted. I will now follow up on the advice received. Yep, I really enjoy my digital camera. Especially since I just upgraded the memory stick. I can now store about 200 pictures. It makes it a lot easier when I'm taking pictures of so many gravestones. -Melanie http://www.ancestralbranches.com/tombstones/gravestones.html

AN OLD CITIZEN GONE Father McKemey Passes Away Monday Evening. WAS SIXTY YEARS IN IOWA Funeral Services at the Family Residence tomorrow. JOSEPH ALISON MCKEMEY was a native of Pennsylvania, and came to Iowa in 1839, being but 24 years of age. He settled at Farmington, Van Buren county, and removed from there to Fairfield in 1842. He was therefore one of the earliest settlers of this town and county. He was for many years engaged in the harness and saddlery business in this city, and was for six years county treasurer. He was one of the charter members of the Masonic order in this place and stood high in its councils. He was for many years one of the leading business men of Fairfield; a man of the highest integrity, of decided convictions and character, and one who stood very high in the estimation of all his neighbors. Father MCKEMEY was taken sick on Christmas eve, and after an illness of ten days he passed away on Monday night at 11 o'clock. He leaves behind him Mother MCKEMEY, now in her 81st year, with one son, HON. J. S. MCKEMEY, of this city, and three daughters, MRS. S. J. CHESTER and MRS. R. J. WILSON, also of Fairfield, and MRS. DR. SUTTON, of Oklahoma. The funeral services will be held at the family residence on west Washington street, tomorrow at 2 p.m. REV. A. F. MARSH will officiate and will be assisted by DR MAGILL. Among those from a distance who will be present at the funeral will be HON. JACOB SLAGLE, of Pittsburg, Pa., REV. BERNARD SLAGE, of Defiance, O., and MRS. J. B. NEELEY, of St. Joseph, Missouri. Hello everyone. I have just started a new website for digital gravestone pictures from Schuylkill, Berks, and Northumberland Counties. I live in Berks county near the boarder of Schuylkill county. I will be taking pictures with my digital camera this summer and uploading them to the web site. The digital pictures will be available free of charge to all visitors. Do you have pictures of gravestones from Berks, Schuylkill or Northumberland County, Pennsylvania? If so, please consider submitting the digital image to the project. You would be given credit on the submitter page and a chance to earn a free Memorial Page. So, far there are some gravestone images uploaded for St. Michael's Cemetery in Hamburg, Berks, PA and St. Ambrose Cemetery in Schuylkill Haven, Schuylkill County. The site is still a work-in-progress. Help spread the word on this new site. And, if you have a genealogy web site I'd be happy to exchange links with you. By the way, some of the interior pages use Flash and sound. So, you may need to be patient for the header of the page to load. Enjoy. http://www.ancestralbranches.com/tombstones/gravestones.html Sincerely, Melanie
