    3. Can you tell me if I am correct in that the records at Ellis Island only are between 1892 and 1924? My family from Ireland would have came long before those dates. I am thinking between 1855-1860. 3. Do you already have Peter Conway in the 1930 Census? I checked and there are 21 Peter Conways in PA in that year, only two in Allegheny, but one says he's born in PA and one says he's born in Scotland. If you don't have him in this year yet, I could look at some of them for you but would need an approximate age for him and his wife's name as well if you know it (if he was married). Also, if he died in PA, you could obtain his death record and find his parents' names listed on there, if you don't already know this information. 2. Hi Jean Go to Ellisislandrecords.org and log in and go to person search and the site will prompt you from there. It is possible there could be hundreds of people with the same name. I have a very successful time locating family through the ellis island database. Steven Bunney ( London)

    2. Hi listers Many thanks to Debra for the information on my Turleys. Yes Those are mine on the 1881 census although the street name should read Turley Street - a mistake in spelling I think. That's marvellous to find them a bit later on also. I think I found Joseph's death in about 1934 on one web site I looked at, and yes please I would love copies so I can show them to my last surviving uncle. Many thanks also to Eliz. for the information she sent to me. Could any listers suggest what I do next to try and trace any children of Albert Turley (I think born about 1907)and birth and marriage of May Turley (birth date unknown) -if any- which may have been born to them. Are there any newspapers in which I could put an advertisement? I am assuming this would be for the town of Wilkinsburg, Allegheny Co., P.A. Here's hoping for some success with this, but many thanks for the help so far. Pat in England.
