    2. Hi Alysia This is wonderful..Yes Albert's father's name was Joseph. Albert's mother was called Alice (nee Wellings), and I believe that she died somewhere in between the 1910/20 censuses. Joseph Turley was born at a place called Woodsetton, Sedgley, Staffordshire, England, and Alice was born in Tipton, Staffordshire. Joseph was born about 1874, and emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1907. I think Albert was born there, but his sister, May could have been born in England. I'm not sure. Leonard is Joseph's brother, and I think his wife was called May. Joseph and Leonard's father was Thomas Turley and his mother was Martha Jane Oakley. These were my great grandparents. They lived in Sedgley of course. I am really pleased to be making some progress as one of my uncle's is still alive, so would be Albert's cousin. I am hoping to find out also if there were any children from that marriage. Many many thanks Pat in England.

    3. Was Joseph born in England? What was his wife's name? I may have found Albert, but would need to know where he was born as well. If he was born in PA and his parents were born in England, then there is one living with his wife's parents in Beaver County in 1930 who is aged 21 years. His wife is Elva Kelly, and he's living with Rose Kelly, head of house, aged 46, and a couple of lodgers. The only other possible Albert Turley in PA is a 19 yo in Nanticoke, Luzerne, who's living at home and whose father's name is also Albert. If you want details on the first Albert, let me know. If you could supply approximate age and birthplace for Joseph, that could help me find him. I have a Leonard Turley, aged 44, living with his wife May, 42 in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny. Let me know if you want details on this one. He's born in England. 3. Thanks so much for the note and offer to ask about my Osencope/Osincup/Ozencoup etc. family! They are a complete mystery. I did just discovered there are a lot of this family in my home town (Vestal, NY)!! The family branch connected to the Barnes must be all part of this same family. I recently found a reference to Jacob Osincup (Sr.?) being in the Revol. War as a Hessian soldier captured at Valley Forge (Trenton).
