Hi Eliz: Thank you so much for your interest & input re my dilemma (& it sure is just that !!!) In as much as my man was b mid-census yrs (1896)& the extra problem of it being *possibly* an out-of- wedlock b plus not knowing the surname the b is entered under (i.e. Mother's - nee; step Father shown on 1900 census or biological Father) *I'm abt lost !! I have been doing family research for 20+ yrs & have never run into such a mystery as this one. Thanks a million for responding to me. Bev
I have a question, my gggrandmother died at age 30, in 1884. Everywhere I look you cant get records that far back, they start at 1902. Thats one question, She was buried in a pauper grave in Trinity cemetery in Erie pa. There is no Obit, there is no death record or funeral record, nothing, nothing in the Historical societys, genealogy societys, or librarys. Now someone somewhere had to at least prepare her body, and somehow she got in that grave, where do you look for such records? In PA. Also 31 years later her husband died in the Erie Co Poorhouse, are there patient records anywhere? I know the history of the Almshouse I need to learn a little something about the people there. Any information would be helpful lindadougan47@worldconnx.net

You're quite welcome. Are you interested in or do you need census material? If you want, I'll see if I can find him in the census. I would need names... My sincere thanks for your response to my *scream* for help. Have checked the site that you sent & have d'loaded a form to submit to St. Dept. of Health in New Castle. You asked what county my person was b in - he was b 1896 in Wellsboro, Tioga Co. I now have the s-mail add. for that place also (taken from the site)& will write to them. The man that I am searching for seems next to impossible to find. Thank you, again, for your help. Bev

I feel like I just found a goldmine. Thankyou for all the web sites you sent. I'm quite new at this and even was discouraged for a while but this has given me new hope. I will certainly try them all. I was able to get a lot of information from Rootsweb and Ancestry.com when I first started and from some web friends I have met that helped a lot. I felt like I was at a standstill until now.Thankyou. I'm sure you will hear from me again. Bev
I'm sorry. I didn't answer your question about the date of Leo Fisher. I'm not sure about it because my Dad just wrote his name and no date when he visited the cemetery. Bev
My Grandfather and Grandmother and Dad all moved to Cleveland Ohio about 1916. Leo Fisher Tobias is buried in the cemetery in Millheim PA. near where other family members are buried. I have not run across Leo Fisher Tobias before and don't know where he fits into the family. I don't know who Mary T. Fisher is either. I am sure there is a connection with our Family because my Grandfather George Fisher Tobias also carries the Fisher name And George was an only child. Thankyou again!!!
