    2. Sure wish I could help you, but I just have NY, Ohio, Pa. I can tell you how you can get similar maps to those I have for the states you want. They are produced by DeLorme Mapping, PO Box 298, Freeport, Maine 04032. Phone 9207) 865-4171. They are in book form, very large pages (I'm guessing something like 16x 11 maybe), and have very wonderful indexes. I like them because they have every little obscure place name and back road. I would highly recommend them. You might want to look in your local bookstore or Walmart. I see them in places like Borders and Barnes and Nobles, which seem to have them for most states. Walmarts seem to carry ones for their own plus adjoining states. Hope this helps!

    3. Dear Listers I am looking for my great-uncle Owen Morse Phillips (Owen M Phillips) and I understand he was at Shamokin, Northumberland according to 1800 Census but it is a mystery that there is no information about him after that... I understand that there were no other census with his name found as I am told. I looked up the Ancestry but I am not a member and there are 1900, 1920, and 1930 US Federal Census at Ancestry with Owen M Phillips who born at Wales in 1859/60. I wonder if there is one or not? Would anyone be kind enough to look up for me please? Thank you in advance. Angela Treanor New Zealand

    3. Hi Angela, Unfortunately Ancestry Newspapers do not search for a full name as you would want to. It searches for each individual name (first name, then surname as 2 separate entries) everything on "Owen" and everything on "Phillips", but not necessarily together. I found a Mrs. Owen in one article and a Dr. E.C. Phillips in another. Sorry. 3. Hi , Just read your info.. about mas. Do you know where you can find old maps of central pa. or even all of it say from the 1800's. Would be interested in finding what some of those counties and TWP's were named then. When doing old census, etc. there are names of places where they are living that no one now has heard of. 3. One of the most helpful mapsites I have found on line is the US GNIS program at: http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form It uses maps "produced from the U.S. Census Bureau's Tiger Map Serv." In many ways its maps are superior to highway maps. To speed up searching, it categorizes over 60 "feature types." For example, villages, towns and cities are searched under the category "populated places." If you know the name of a graveyard, enter that in the first blank (but do not include the word 'graveyard' or 'cemetery'). Click on "feature type," and on the menu that comes up click on cemetery.
