    3. Whose will was probated in 1939? From where did she emigrate? You say she was a sibling, so you probably know where she was born and raised (?). Was she a Young or a Jones when she was in PA? 1. Serching for YOUNG Please Help
    2. Hi Listers, I have traced my family back as far as I can go at present; so I decided to look at siblings and their descendants. This has helped me collect a vast number of family photographs which may otherwise have been lost for ever. At present I am trying to find the descendants of Louise (or Louisa) Young nee Jones who emigrated to Webster, Westmoreland County, PA. All I have is a copy of a will which says she was there in 1939. This is the only information I have. Please can someone point me in the right direction to find any descendants. Regards Michael B George.

    3. Select the line that you want to print. Select Decendant Tree-- Standard. This will give you a chart with page boundaries shown as dotted lines. ( On the bottom bar my example that I am looking at has # of Pages 18, Generations 3, Size 57.4" X 18.0") Along the right side click on the Format Icon. Select Custom Layout, Automatic, Boxes overlap page breaks. OK. Right click any where on the page. Select Export decendant tree: To Acrobat (PDF) In the Export Decendant tree, Save As: (Select the device that you want) In the File Name: enter the Name of the file without an extension, The Save as Type; should be Acrobat (*.pdf) Click Save. this will write the chart to the device that you selected. Now go to the device that you wrote to and select the file that you just created. Open the file. It should open in an Acrobat page. You may have to download Acrobat Ver. 7.0. Either Monday or Tuesday, I will stop by Kinkos or Office Max and see if they can read the CD. 1. ADMIN: PLEASE READ
    2. Hi, All- RootsWeb is in the process of switching over to new upgraded list management software. It is my expectation that this list will be migrated over to the new system sometime tomorrow. For list subscribers, the changeover should be smooth. The changes primarily involve the administration tools that keep the list running behind the scenes. The list name is changing from [email protected] to just [email protected] So you may subscribe or unsub by sending your request to: [email protected] with one exception. If you wish to subscribe in Digest mode you must send your subscribe request to [email protected] . You may also continue sending your requests as you always have--either will work. The word SUBSCRIBE or UNSUBSCRIBE must be included in the subject and may also be included in the message body. Digest subscribers will notice some changes to the list digests. New instructions will be added to the digests -- please read them. In addition, the digest volume and issue number may be different (out of sequence) from what you had been receiving. If your digests arrive in a different format than you are used to and you would like it changed, contact me privately at the list admin address: [email protected] Also, if you run into any unusual or confusing occurrences with mail from this list that could possibly be related to the chageover, let me know. If you use email headers to filter list mail to a special folder in your email program you may need to check whether your filters will need tweaking under the new system. If you previously subscribed to the list in both L and D modes using the same email address you will find that you are no longer subbed in Digest mode. The new software doesn't permit the same address to be subbed in both L and D modes. Therefore, if you wish to receive both modes, you will need to subscribe to the digests using a different email address. Please continue to send your queries, data, and responses to the list as usual. Thanks! Joan, co-admin [email protected]

    2. Good Afternoon Members: I have just learned that some of "My Kier Relatives" are buried in the Elder Ridge Cemetery in Indiana County, Pa. Their names are: Grace "Kier" McCurdy -- born in 1775 James Kier -- born on 9/7/194 and he died on 3/29/1854 His "Wife" Hanna (Nancy) Grey Kier -- born in 1800 and died on 10/19/1863. There is also another "Kier" Relative buried there, but their name is "unknown". Would there be anyone on this Pa Website that can help me find any further information on them. I would "Greatly Appreciate" any help from anyone regarding this request. I hope to hear from anyone real soon.
