I am researching the Buckley and King families of Huntingdon, PA. Is there a local or state archives that I will need to contact for birth, marriage and death records? Thanks, Clara

They had the following children that were found in the census'.... Wilson H. Cora's twin, Estella Reed, born Oct 1872.....no other info as yet.... Minerva (first name may also be Mamie)...born abt 1874 (age was 6 in the 1880 census)...no other info....she married a Fritchman ( at least that is what the information that I received from my mother who did some additonal research) Howard Reed - born abt 1878 (2 years old in the 1880 census)....Howard was living with his parents in the 1900 census.... I found the following children in the 1900 Northampton Co, Freemansburg, PA census.....living with William and Sarah.... Hosa Reed (at least that is what it looked like in the 1900 census)..born Nov 1885.... Lizzie H., born Jul 1887 in the 1900 census.... Laura M. - born Jan 1889 in the 1900 census.... My great grandmother, Cora, went on to marry (as stated above) Steward (Stewart) Simons in 15 Nov 1888....in Northampton Co, PA.....and they went on and had 12 children..... I am also looking for information on William H. Reed's parents and any siblings that he may have so I can continue my family research.....and also Sarah Brader's family too.... Appreciate any help or information on the above....and thank you for any help that anyone may provide..... This is how I am connected.... Joseph Grohol Jr Dawn L. Hi... I am trying to locate William H. Reed, born abt 1838 or as the 1900 census lists, Mar 1845, born in PA....in the 1870 Northampton Co, PA Census..... I was able to locate him and his family in the 1880 Northampton Co, Bethlehem Census and the 1900 Northampton Co, PA Census........but so far I have not been able to find them in the 1870 census..... In 1870 census, William would be abt 32, he was married to Sarah C, age would be abt 32, both born in PA..they would have at least two children...Wilson H., age would be abt 3 and George W., age abt 2, both born in PA..... These are my 2nd great grandparents that I wish to find and would appreciate any help in locating them..... Thank you... Joseph Grohol Jr
Hello all, I have just subscribed to this list. I am searching for a record of death of one, Morgan Williams, in the above named years. He was a Welshman and a harpist and may have been blind. He came from Wales to Plymouth, Penn. in about 1880 with his wife, Jean, and a young son. Another son was born in Plymouth in 1882. Morgan's wife and sons are found in Wales in 1891 and Jean is married to a David Jones. They have a daughter born Wales in 1887. I am assuming that Morgan has died. Is there a death index in existance for that time period? Thank you for your attention. Bella Creel in Minnesota.

I am trying to find the father of one J. Alexander Cummins (or just plain Alexander Cummins) who lived in Somerset, Somerset County. He was born in 1767 at sea per the 1880 census for his son Joseph. Alexander died in 1845 and his son, Joseph, in 1883, in Somerset. I've noticed an online reference to a Revolutionary War soldier named Alexander Comins (the name he used for his pension application as being his birth name) who was born in 1750 in Antrim, Ireland. Since he served in the Revolution, he had to emigrate from Ireland prior to the beginning of the war. From reading online biographies published in books on Fayette County (where it seems he lived most, if not all, of his life after emigrating), I know that he had a first wife and wonder how I might go about finding more info on her and any children they may have had. I'm only guessing but it seems possible that this Alexander Comins could have been a very young father of J. Alexander born at sea in 1767. His pension app only refers to one living son, that being William Cummings (Alexander Comins went by Cummings in Fayette County) and names his second wife as Jane Livingston. I have found Alexander, Jane, William and Samuel all buried in a small family plot in Fayette County. There is DAR paperwork on Alexander Comins but no mention of his having a first wife. Any help greatly appreciated. I would love to "cross the water" on this one. Joan in Illinois

THANK YOU DEBRA. This is really fantastic. Thank you sooooo much for all the information. I couldn't wish for more. If my luck holds I'm going to find a living descendant. I can't thank you listers enough. What a great list this is. Regards Michael.
Thank you all for your help. I have found Louisa Young and her husband who joined your great country on June 22nd 1904 via the ship Oceanic from Liverpool. I just have to find their descendants now. Regards Michael.
Thank you Joan
Hi Joan, Thank you for replying to me request for help. The will was made by Edmund Marsh (a farmer) of Monmouthshire, South Wales. Louise (or Louisa) emigrated from Newbridge, Monmouthshire. I do not have a date for her leaving South Wales. At present I do not know if she was married before leaving the UK or when she arrived in PA. Her married name is Young, her maiden name was Jones. Louise was born in Newbridge, near Newport, Monmouthshire. I know she was in Newbridge for the Census in 1901. The next information I have is from the will, which says she is living in Webster, Westmoreland County, PA.
