Hi Group VI researchers, Here is a little tidbit on Levi (Sr.) and Isaac (his son) which may be new to many of us: "Hi. I don't have this family in my line, but I found an Isaac Pennington living in the same community with my Hardin folks in 1777, **Cumberland Co.**, NC. Is this the same man from your group? Did he go into McNairy Co., TN later?" "Levi Pennington bought 200 acres from Nathan Smith 20 July 1771 on Richland Creek. Isaac Pennington was a witness. He sold that land to John McCloud on 1 December 1772. The deed was signed by both Levi and Martha (her mark) Pennington. Levi witnessed a deed of Joseph Duckworth to John HARDEN on 24 Oct 1774. All from (old) **Cumberland Co.** records." This info courtesy of Tess, <TessJ2@aol.com>. Apparently Isaac was at least legal age in 1771, if this was Levi's son. Can anyone read anything into this? **Emphasis** added by BEP. Bobby Pennington ------------------------- Bobby E. Pennington, P.E.
