    3. I went back through my notes and found the name and email address of one of the people who had info on Isabella Teague. Richard Matteson mattesor@mary.iia.org Maybe we could get him to post again on this subject. But he says that several Lofton researchers had concluded that Isabelle Lofton was the wife of William Teague (b. ca 1690 Cecil Co., MD; moved to Frederick Co., VA; d. in Rowan Co., NC). His last email on the subject is a bit confusing since it's hard to keep a couple of Moses's and William's separate. There also appear to be several Elizabeth/Isabelle Loftons, one of whom was born in 1714 and married Moses Teague, Jr. This Elizabeth is said (by DM) to be the daughter of Thomas and Eleanor (poss. Pennington?) Lofton. There's some confusion in his message (slipping in Moses for a William, when later it is clear that he meant the William), but I think it's clear that he has Isabelle (1693-1731), wife of William Teague (b. ca1690) as being one of 5 children of William Lofton and Elizabeth Ives. Their son Moses is the Moses who md. Elizabeth Lofton. At least that's what Dick Matteson had. Apparantly, he was well aquainted with several Lofton/Loftin researchers. Anyway, like you, I'd like to see this cleared up one way or the other. There seems to be quite a bit of ambiguity with regards to all the very early Cecil Co., MD Penningtons and related lines. I just wish I could do more to help straighten them out.
