Joshua Pennington b. 1790 in VA married Nancy Sparks. Their son, Wiliam Pennington b. 1816 in VA married Martha Blanton. Their son, George Washington Pennington b. 1847 in KY married Mary Young. Joshua Pennington and Nancy Sparks had the following children: William, Fredrick B., David, Sally, Rachel, James, Jesse, Margaret, and Levi. William Pennington and Martha Blanton had the following children: George Washington, Levi, Jesse, David, Clayborn, Rachel, Joshua, Rebecca, and Polly Ann. George Washington Pennington and Mary Young had the folowing children: Martha J., Judith, Jesse, Amanda, Clayborn, Fredrick, Cassius, Allie Mae, Joshua, Exer, Emma, Sally, and John Tolby.
