Happy New Year Cousins: I am in group 6,My grandfather,Levi Jackson Pennington went to Oklahoma and married my grandmother Nancy S.J.Elizabeth Powers .He was born March 16. 1873 in Alabama.Married June 27. 1900 in Indian Territory ,died November 16.1922 in Reichert Oklahoma. His sister Martha E. Pennington born September 21. 1865 married George Washington Pennington.Martha died September 02.1934 in Oklahoma Territory. Levi and Martha both are both buried in Summer Feild Cemetery, Reichert Oklahoma. In the 1900 Census it shows Levi and Nancy just after they got married. There is also a Phillip Penington b April 1866, wife Ellen b August 1866 and children Almeda b 1890- May L. b January 1893-Rosa M. b 1895. In the same household there is also a Callie E. South as mother, and Lila as sister, Walter Fannin as Nep, Lynn as nep, Their parents are all from Alabama. I believe that Levi's other brothers and sisters may have gone to Oklahoma to. If there is anyone that has and Pennington ancesters from Gilmore ,Reichert,Spiro, Wister,Earlsboro, Seminole Oklahome, I would sure love to hear from you, I know it is a shot in the dark but you never know what will come out of it.
