Am I missing something here? I have been to this website three times and all it gives free is the information ontained in the U.S. federal census, everything else is pegged. "paid" or is it that I haven't figured out how to use it correctly? Seems that the whole thing is set up to whet your appetite and after spending time filling out the registration and getting to the place where the information should be, you get taken to more ads. Or to a place where they try to entice you to join at a yearly subscription. If they are going to give one week's free access, then by all means, give access that is unencumbered by a lot of advertising. I am ready to ditch the whole thing and forget Ancestry.com, unlesss someone tells me how to get around all the ads and ,"wishes to set a cookie",stuff. I plugged in my great grandfather, Wilson Pennington", after a long delay it came to a window that said," informationn on Wilson Pennington," but that is as far as it went, just more advertising.
