But so do Harold McLerran, Is this McLerran from Clay Co., TN? >Sam Lawson to name a few. Do you know whether Lawson could be descended from the Lawsons of New River Valley area -- namely, Montgomery Co., Va.? Archibald Thompson has several notes about a William Lawson in his diary, and I've wondered whether some of my Thompsons married into this Lawson line. Do you have an E-mail address for Sam Lawson? > They all helped me a > lot. I'm a Moore, Pennington, Stewart, Davis, and connect to the Mulkey's and Marrs through my Thompson, Howard, Breed, Chism and Howard lines. Don't know about the Smiths, Hagens and others, but probably relate some way. I can send you some of my line from these surnames. I haven't done much to trace the Davis line, but it connects to my paternal grandmother, Lora Evaline Moore, d/o George Cass Moore and Eliza Davis. Re: your Stewart line. My maternal gg-grandmother, Kezziah Stewart, b. 1789, m. Peter Alonzo Hammer. She is the mother of Richard Nelson Hammer, the father of my g-grandmother, Nancy Marget Hammer, who m. James Thompson, Rodden and Elizabeth Pennington's nephew. We haven't been able to track her line, other than the fact that someone recorded her father as "Josiah" in the Hammer bible. > Any information appericated.Keep in touch. > Eunice Sure will. Let me know if you connect my Elizabeth to your Pennington line. Thanks, Jemima P.S. Did you know there's been a KYMonroe Rootsweb list since September, I believe? I learned this only a few weeks ago, subscribed, and tried to post messages, but somehow can't get them included in the mail list. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Jemima Gee Morse <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Tuesday, December 28, 1999 4:11 PM > Subject: Re: [PENNINGTON-L] My wish.
