Hi Steve, Thanks for the synopsis of Thomas Pennington's will. It does not mention the date, nor county, but I assume the date is 24 Feb 1726 in Surry Co., Va. I notice that Benjamin Pennington is not mentioned. He named Thomas, the eldest son; William; Edward, the third son; and his youngest children John George, Mary, and James. He also named his wife Mary . Edward Pennington in his 16 May 1752 will, named his mother Mary Pennington; brothers BENJAMIN; John George; James; William; and Benjamin's son Edward Pennington. Edward did not name his sister Mary. Maybe Benjamin was not born when his father wrote his will in 1726? These two wills prove that Thomas Pennington had a wife named Mary and 7 children; 6 sons and one daughter. Sincerely, REGINALD L.
