Merry Christmas all!! I am looking for information on the ancestors of Oliver Pennington, b. August 05, 1826, Shebbear, Devon, England, d. August 03, 1890, Lakota, North Dakota. He mariied Ann Walter(b. December 28, 1825, Bideford, Devon, England, d. April 15, 1916, Devils Lake, North Dakota) on June 15, 1850 in West Putford, Devon, England, and emigrated to Ontario in 1851. I have a copy of their marriage license and it lists his parents as William Pennington and Jane Ebsworthy. Oliver lived in Clovelly, Devon, England prior to emigrating. If anyone has any leads for me or can point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful. I have looked through the PRA groups and am unable to place our line. It seems that most of the "groups" have founders that came to America much earlier than 1851. Is there a better place to look for Pennington families that were still in England? Jeff Humphreys
