Edward Pennington, the son of Thomas Pennington, in his will dated 16 May 1752, recorded 14 June 1752, names his mother Mary Pennington, and brothers, Benjamin, John George, James, and William, and Benjamin’s son Edward Pennington. He does not mention brother Thomas Pennington. (Brunswick Will Book 3, p 73-76)-- transcribed copy from from Jemima Gee Morse Thomas Pennington, Sr. who left a will in Surry Co., Va, dated 13 Feb 1702, recorded 1703(4), married Sarah (George) Lewis, the widow of Morgan Lewis 1677/1678.(1) , (3) Thomas Pennington and Sarah (George)(Lewis) Pennington had three sons,(4), (7) the eldest son was named Thomas Pennington, who was born 1682/83.66 The two younger sons, Edward and John chose their Uncle Robert Andrews and their Aunt Ann (Lewis) Andrews as guaardian when their father died.(7) Thomas Pennington married Abigail _____(4) when his wife, Sarah died after 1696,(1), just about 5 years before his death. After Thomas Pennington’s death in 1701/2 Abigail married _____ Middleton.(8) Thomas Pennington, Jr, who left a will in Surry Co., Va dated 24 Feb 1726/27, recorded 20 Dec 1727 (9) married Mary ____ and had 8 children: John George, Thomas, Edward, William, James, Mary, and Benjamin.
