Pennington, December 21, 1862 Martha E. Pennington, born September 21, 1865, died September 02.1934. Mary F. Pennington, born October 21, 1868 Levi Jackson Pennington, born March 16, 1873. My grandfather. I only have information on Levi and Martha at this time. Martha E. Pennington Married, George Washington Pickle, he was born January 06, 1860, died February 23, 1936, in Oklahoma Indian Territory. George and Martha's children were as follows. Ella-Della-Myrtle-George Clevland-Elzie Lee. Elzie Lee Pickle, born October 09, 1896, married Rozetta Earls, born July 30, 1893 she died January 24, 1971. Their children ,Hester Lee, born May 03, 1920 George Lincoln, born January 26, 1922. Farce Pickle, born September 26, 1923. Ruby Hazel Pickle, born January 20, 1926, died February 16, 1929. Thelma Pickle, born April 28.1927, died September 01, 1997 My grandfather, Levi Jackson Pennington, died November 16, 1922, buried in Summer Field Cemetary,Reichert Oklahoma. Levi married my grandmother Nancy Sarah Jane Elizabeth on June 27.1900. She went by the name Lizzie.She was born February 5, 1881, Gilmore Oklahoma. She died August 05, 1979, in Spiro Oklahoma, buried in Summer Field Cemetery, Reichert Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Charles Green Powers and Nancy Wyatt Mitchell. On the 1900 census of Leflore County, Oklahoma, it shows Levi having just married Lizzie. Another census east of Spiro Oklahoma has him as Jack Pennington and Lizzie Powers.Levi being born in AR, and parents born in AR, and one other census showing Levi as being born in Al. Levi and Nancy's children are: 1-Rosie Tennessee, born September 15, 1905, still living. Married John Melvin Moody on August 10, 1920, in Waldon, Arkansas. They had 9 children. 2-Henry Lincoln Moody, b DEC, 21 1921, married Thelma Jean Young. 3-Thomas Andrew Moody b Jan, 13, 1925, d July 20.1925. 4-Beulah Bernice Moody, b Feb 20, 1927 Howe, Oklahoma, d Feb, 02, 1997,Spiro Oklahoma. She married George Buck Ivy on April 24, 1943. 5-Alva A. Z. Moody b March 06, 1929, wister Oklahoma, married Olma Young, July 09, 1949. 6-George Lotan Moody, b March 07, 1931 Wister,Ok.married Roxie Dale Kelly. 7-William J.P.Moody,b Oct, 28 1935,Wister Oklahoma,married Phyllis Jean Goines. 8-Liza Elizabeth Moody, b Feb 17, 1938,Heavner Oklahoma, married Thomas Frank Cusick. My father: Howard G. Pennington, b April 3, 1909, Poteau Oklahoma, d July 07, 1984, in Central Arizona. Married my mother Bessie Bell Coffey on January 30, 1932, in Seminole Oklahoma. Bessie was born September 20, 1916. Lonepine, Oklahoma, d November 23.1971 in Phoenix Arizona. Bessie was the daughter of Ephrom VanWinkle Coffey and Mamie Olive Sneed. Howard and Bessie had 9 children, all still living. 1- Mamie Loveda Darlene Pennington 2-Marland Pennington 3 -Mary Lee Pennington 4-Autry Lee Pennington 5- Betty Gean Pennington 6-Carolyn Pennington 7- Wanda Pennington 8-and 9 are twins, Dale Dean and Gale Gene Pennington. Robert Lee Pennington, b Feb 05, 1911. D. August 14, 1981, in Poteau Oklahoma, married Anna Mae Young, b? d March 31, 1991, in Poteau Oklahoma.Thay had 5 children still living in Spiro Oklahoma. I am trying to make contact with Georges children. Ezekiel Pennington , b DEC 01, 1914 in Heavener OK. still living, married DEC, 23 1936 Mary Alice Coffey she is a sister to Bessie Bell Coffey.
