Pennington researchers, Some of you asked about more info for William Hyland Pennington, I don't have much on him, I have a couple of census documents for his daughter Adelaide that said her father was born in Deleware and her mother in Maine, Last week I got her marriage certificate to Alexander Charles Thompson which told me these names . William Hyland Pennington is plainly written. Adelaide's mothers maiden name is not and so I can not be sure of the spelling. I would estimate that William Hyland Pennington may have been born about 1845 -1855 This is what I originally wrote: My great grandmother's name was Adelaide R. Pennington who was supposed to have been born in ?? Illinois about 1875 or 1876 - she first married ? Pratt then Alexander Charles Thompson 9, April 1901 Victoria B.C. Canada Her Father was William Hyland Pennington supposedly born in Deleware and her mother was Augusta (can't be sure of the Handwriting) possibly spelled Causeus ) Augusta was supposedly born in Maine.
