PENNINGTON-L@rootsweb.com To all Pennington Research Association Members: Glenis and I attended the PRA Annual meeting in Sacramento last July. It was a really good time. I encourage anyone interested in Pennington Genealogy and warm friends try going to the meetings if it's at all possible. Barbara and Chuck Pennington, were great hosts, they provided an agenda suitable to any expectations. Go whenever you can. While I was at the meeting, it was apparent the amount of work Steve Privett, does to benefit the Association and those of us on-line was not generally known. Any of you seeing this message know the leadership and work he does to maintain PENNINGTON-L@rootsweb.com. All of us on the internet recognize the PRA website at <http://users.aol.com/SPRIVETT/prahome.htm>. We can see the effort he has provided is greater than most of us can boost. He also runs a business and could have used the space on AOL to promote that instead of promoting the interests of the PRA. So! I think it is in Order for Steve Privett to receive recognition from others, not on-line, if we expect the organization to support him, and us. If you agree. You can help by adding comments or a printed copy of the webpages in your regular snail mail genealogy correspondence. Some of you that have color printers could send webpages to the PRA officers. Their mailing addresses are given in the front of the "Pennington Pedigrees". I imagine this group can come up with better ways, but this could be a start. Most everyone on-line already knows or will find out what Steve does, so I hope you won't use up bandwidth talking it over on the list. Put your effort in on PRA Members "NOT" on-line. Thanks, Jim Pennington Towanda, Kansas penet@kansas.net Those that would like to reply privately, for or against this message, please use STEVE in the header.
