    3. While trying to connect my line to Pennington family I ran across this query in the Pennington Pedigrees found in the Wisconsin State Historical Society collection: 1992 PP from Mrs. Edna G. Burgoon Madison WI She writes: Who were the parents of these 3 Pennington sisters? Nancy, b. 12Dec1802, m. Col. Wm. Smiley 26Nov1817, Green Co., Ohio. Col. Smiley was stationed at Fort Greenfield, Darke Co., Oh at the time. Lucinda, m. Benjamin Holden 11Feb1810 in Champaign Co., OH. Eliza b. 2Jun1819, m. Solomon Beers of Franklin Co., OH.(her great grandparents) There is alittle more to the articule..... I have tried to find Edna Burgoon, but no luck. I would like to contact her or anyone that might have her research. I am trying to find out what happened to the Nancy Pennington. I have been researching this William Smiley. Did Nancy and William have atleast two children? JOhn b. 1825 and Mary Jane b. @1828? Did Nancy died around 1828? Where? Did William Smiley remarry to a Nancy McFeeley b. 1808. William Smiley m. Nancy McFeely 29Jan1829 Butler Co., OH It appears that Nancy McFeely and William Smiley had one more child:Thomas b. @1830. Did William Smiley died before 1836? Where I find Nancy McFeeley Smiley and the three children in Bureau Co. Il in 1836. Nancy Smiley marries a second time to Elias Funderburgh and they live out their lives in Bureau Co. IL. The daughter Mary Jane Smiley is my 4th grgrandmother I have dug into everything that I can in Bureau Co Illinois and only keep finding little pieces to the puzzle. As you can see, I'm trying to piece all of these findings together. Is this William Smiley one and the same that married both Nancy's? If so which Nancy is the mother to my Mary Jane? If it is Nancy Pennington, then I'm a descendent from the Pennington's, if it is Nancy McFeely then I'm a McFeeley. HELP!!!!! I have not ordered Col. William Smiley's pension papers, these may hold some info. Does anyone know where I can request them? Apparently he served at Fort Greenfield, Darke Co., OH @1817 then moved to a farm in Franklin Co., OH @1820. Your help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!! Thank you Mary Parish 125 Udey St. Columbus, WI
