My first information about the Penningtons listed my Abel Lane as the son of William Pennington, but I spoke with a PRA researcher recently who said that it was more likely that he was the son of Abel Jr., son of Able Sr. Your Able Jr., would have been the right age to be the father of my Able Lane. And the fact that Betsy named her child Rebecca Lane seems important to me, too. I'm sure you noticed that Taladega County was mentioned several times in my line.
