Found in the 1870 census for Jefferson Twp, Washington Co., IN is the family of JR Pennington and wife Mary. I believe this is actually JB, and the bottom of the B was lost.. JB Pennington 44 KY farmer Mary 39 IN William 17 IN Louis 14 IN Willard 12 IN Mary 11 IN Martha 10 IN Rhoda 8 IN Levi 6 IN James 4 IN If it is assumed that this is James Barnes Pennington, this supports other infomation contributed by John French with the addition of Louis and Willard. Archibald Pennington listed as AG Pennington with wife Tabitha AG Pennington 36 KY Tabitha 33 IN Alonzo 10 IN Charles 7 IN Laura A 4 IN Clinton 1 IN I assume that JB and AG are brothers and the sons of Newitt Pennington and Margaret Clinton.
