While looking at some newspaper citations, I find some apparent conflicting info... I have George H Pennington married to Margaret M with daughter Neome age 2 in the 1870 Floyd Co IN census. I now find in the WPA transcriptions of the Oct. 16, 1863 ed of a New Albany newspaper, the marriage of George H. Pennington and Maggie W. Stallings. Does anyone have any insight to help reconcile this apparent conflict? Was George previously married and Neome the d/o a first wife? Is the census wrong with the age? Is the WPA info wrong? Is this a different George H? Any info would be appreciated. Steve P
