My Charles William Pennington was born in 1865 in Lebanon, Laclede Co., MO. Parents are unknown at this time. He did have 2 siblings that I am aware of: Doc & Ollie. They were all adopted out to different families. The family (ELY) that took my Charles went to Lee co., VA where he married Emma Stewart. There was some confusion because there were 2 Charles in Lee Co. VA at the same time. The other was son of Greenberry who married Arminta Clarkson. I have yet to find anything on as to who were my Charles's parents. My Charles never took the name of his adopted family. They wanted him to remember his past. So much for that because Charles tried to look for his brothers prior to his death in 1947 but no such luck. Does anyone have a list of Pennington in Missouri during the time frame of 1860-1870? Tammy
