This was the most efficient way I could find to let everyone know that the company we chose to do our DNA study has now released their 6 secret mutation sites (markers) into the public domain. This means that the value of our DNA study just doubled in terms of what it can tell us. Congratulations John Alan Pennington for having such faith in FTDNA so that we made the right choice of company! In addition their own database is now active and you can search it against your results. No conversion of numbers is needed for the FTDNA database. Those who had themselves tested can go to: http://www.familytreedna.com/6markers.html and convert all 12 markers to numbers that can be entered into web databases. One such database is at: (http://ystr.charite.de/index_gr.html) where you can enter 8 of your 12 markers and see where in the world someone matches you! Happy DNA matching. Nick Penington.
