While visiting my daughter in Chatt, TN the past few days for graduction of our 2nd grandson from The University of Tennesse-Chattanooga. Christmas was a little early there also. Had a wonderful time but very tired tonight, but wanted to get this in before it was pitched with something, I would not be guilty of that OH NO. Chattanooga Times Free Press, B8, Sunday December 16, 2001 Herbert Curtis "H.C." Pennington, 74, of Hixson TN passed away Wednesday, Dec 12, 2001, in a local hospital. He was a member of Hixson United Methodist Church, a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the IBEW local 175 for over 50 years and a member of the East Ridge Masonic Lodge F&AM. He was prec3e3e in death by his parents, Charles Cleveland and Hetty Mae Dempsey Pennington; and four brother and one sister. He is survived by wife, Marge Pennington; children, Noel Pennington of Fort Oglethorpe, GA, Lori Pennington McClure of Duluth, Ga. and Ralph S. Pennington of Hixson; several nieces and nephews. The funerl service will be at 1 p.m Monday, Dec 17 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Anderson officiating. The interment will follow the service in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. today, Dec 16 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153. I did not have time to check any of the family but my daughter had had him as a patient recently at the Parkridge Medical Center in Chatt. - I will see if she could possibly contact his wife and have her get in touch with me or I with her.
