My Grandfather, Edward went to Alberta, Canada approx 1903 and had a ranch with a partner who died shortly after. My grandfather just left his share in the ranch to the partners widow. I have no further information but would love to hear from someone who can help. Edward was born in Kendal in 1884 so was only young when went overseas. After Canada he went to New York (brooklyn) where he worked in construction. was a member of a masonic lodge in brooklyn. Married and english woman, Eva had 2 daughters in new York and then went back to England in 1933. any information would be appreciated. Are there any Canadian records I could look at?
