Hi Eleanor, Thanks for the reply. Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier...crazy week. So thank you for the helpful information. I'm fairly new at this and it's all so interesting and addicting! Do you happen to have any info on John Graham, or his parents? Another one of those "dreams" traces his ancestors back to kings, conquerors, and even Charlemagne! Too bad you can't believe the internet! John Graham and Mary Pennington's daughter Mary Ann Graham married Samuel D. Lamb. Their daughter, Nancy Lamb, married James Clay. That's my connection....my Daddy was a Clay. Do we know which Pennington group Mary falls into? I surely appreciate any real info you can give me as I'm trying to sort out fact from fiction. I also have another Pennington line on my tree. I have Jemima Pennington (b. abt 1760) who married Jonathan Smith. Great to meet another cousin. Thanks, Barb (FL) -----Original Message----- From: GEN-PICS <genpics@iopener.net> To: PENNINGTON-L@rootsweb.com <PENNINGTON-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Monday, January 21, 2002 7:29 PM Subject: Re: [Pennington-L] Isaac Pennington >Barb, >Yes, we are cousins. > > Mary Pennington does NOT have a middle name. There is NO documentation for it. Someone apparently just dreamed it up one night. No documents that I have found so far calls her anything except Mary. > >I have the documents of marriage for Mary Pennington and John Graham. 5 Dec 1798 The documents are recorded in Patrick Co. VA. Again there is absolutely NO proof that Mary's mother was Mary Lamb. Again just another dream. The Letter of Bond proves that Isaac Pennington is the father of Mary. It also mentions John Graham. And, it says that Mary is the youngest of Isaac's daus. Too bad he didn't tell us who the others were.
