    3. I was out of town so missed the chance to throw this concept into the thread, but what happened to the idea that information developed using public funds is the property of the public (public domain) and must be made available except in cases where it's proven to create a threat to the national defense? Isn't that what the Freedom of Information Act was about? I can see locking up personal information for 70 years or so, but that the 2000 census will "never" be available to the public??? I doubt it. If the Constitution and Supreme Court are still around then, I have a feeling that little promise by the Census Bureau will be overturned. Katherine
