In the 18th century the Gee family lived in Prince George County, VA. near the Chappell, Jones and Lewis families, which are my ancestors. Never the less, all of the families are recorded in the Albemarle Parish of Surry County as the county lines and records were blurred in those days. I grew up in Petersburg, VA. and used to spend time with my father in Surry Courthouse. The name that I remember seeing in the county records most often was Capt. James Gee and Boyce Scott. Were they relatives? My mother Carrie (Lewis) knew a member of the Gee family living near the Halifax Road in Dinwiddie County VA, but that was years ago and I am sorry to say I do not know them today.
