Dear Mary, I am curious why you asked whether Elizabeth Strunk might be the wife of Levi, Jr. Group 32's progenitor, Wells Pennington, was married to an Elizabeth who is believed to have been Elizabeth Strunk. She and Wells show up on the 1850 census of Wayne Co.KY. There is no concrete, actual proof that Wells' wife was a Strunk but there is some supporting evidence. Wells and Elizabeth had a life-long, close relationship with Daniel Strunk which began in Ashe Co.NC and continued as both families moved to Whitley Co.KY. Wells Pennington moved on to Wayne and Pulaski Counties, KY. about 1828-1829. In addition to the relationship with Daniel Strunk, there is the will of Abraham Strunk in Hardin County, KY which names Daniel Strunk as Abraham's brother and Caty, Teny, Polly, and ELizabeth as sisters to Abraham. I have to mention that I am reading this from an e-mail abstract and have not seen the actual will. I plan to obtain a copy early this year.
