What I do know so far is Joseph, Abel, Larkin, and Levi were Ashe Cty in 1820 census also. Joseph, Abel and Larkin were all in the 18-26 years of age range, Levi was 26-45, and Ephraim was 45+. Also, a William Pennington was given a land grant in Ashe Cty in 1803. All I have for 1850 census does not give a birthplace for Edward. In 1860 there is a question about VA?
