My cousin that lives in Oklahoma looks up census records for me. This is what he sent. In the 1900 census of Leflore County, Indian Territory. Household #241, Jane Penington b March 1870 in MO. parents b Kansas and Nebraska, It does not show who Jane's husband was. A son Henry b 2/1890 in Indian Territory, a son George b 12/1894 in Indian Territory, and a stepson John b 8/1880 in Texas, parents born in Tennessee and Texas. Household # 142 I have, Phillip Penington b 4/1866 in Alabama. parents born in Alabama, his wife Ellen b 8/1866 in Arkansas, both parents born in Alabama, a daughter Almeda b 8/1890 in Indian Territory, another daughter May L. b 1/1893 in Indian Territory, and another daughter Rosa M. b 9/1895 in Indian Territory. also in the same household is Callie E. South(mother of Phillip Penington), b 8/1849 in Arkansas, her parents both born in Alabama and Arkansas. Lila Pennington (sister of Phillip Penington, b 12/1864 ), Walter Fannin (nephew of Phillip Penington, b 10/1897 North Carolina, his parents were born in Alabama and Arkansas),and Lynn Howard Pennington( nephew of Phillip Penington, b 7/1879 in Arkansas), I hope this helps someone.
