Eleanor, I tracked back from SC to PA on PENNINGTONS, familiar names inclusive. Two of the names in Rowan Co, NC is Levi PENNINGTON and Benajah PENNINGTON. If associated surnames mean anything, and I think they do, the PA PENNINGTONS and Rowan County PENNINGTONS should be of the same family. But, you may already know this. Do you have this line complete? And, did they migrate from PA.
