Pennington, 66, of Addie Lane Culpepper, formerly of Winchester, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999 in Culpepper Hospital, Culpepper. Mr. Pennington was born March 25, 1933 in Inkerman, WV, the son of George Allen and Ada Conard Pennington. He retired after more than 20 years as a route salesman for Schenck Foods. He was an Air Force veteran and a member of the Montague Av. United Methodist Church. He was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He married Betty Cornell on June 27, 1998 in Warrenton. His first wife, Betty Coffman Pennington died May 4, 1996. Surviving with his wife are three daughters, Gloria S. Lane of Powhatan and Robin R. Matheney and Kaley A. Crosen, both of Winchester; three sisters, Helen P. Pitcock of Winchester, Evelyn P. Plaugher of Mt. Jackson and Joan P. Ritenhour of Quicksburg; a brother, Mark Allen Pennington of Las Cruses, NM; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A funeral was Monday at Jones Funeral Home, with the Rev. Herbert K. Seemann officiating. Entombment was in Shenandoah Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Wilbur Dellinger, Kevin Crosen, Linwood DeHaven, Bernie Cole, Ronald Cpffman Sr. and Ronnie Griffith. Roger probably belongs to Group 9 but I just haven't got that far yet. Let me know if someone has a connection.
