Recently I posted a query on the list and gave tombstone inscriptions for John Bowlby Palmer and Margaret Pennington both buried in the Walnut Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Franklin Co., TN. Margaret is believed to have first married Isaac Rich who died in 1787 in Rowan Co., NC and is buried in Eaton Baptist Church Cem. in present-day Davie Co., NC. The tombstone inscriptions were taken from the Franklin Co., TN Cemetery Book published in 1984 by the Franklin Co. Historical Society. This morning my husband and I went to the Walnut Grove Cem. to photograph the tombstones and low and behold John Bowlby Palmer's stone very clearly had his age as 51 NOt 54. Therefore, since the stone states he died Oct. 1825 aged 51 years, he was born in 1774 NOT 1771. Please note this correction. Joy Q. Gallagher Winchester, Franklin Co., TN
