Troy, I have made a note on the Kentucky marriages for the information you have provided. I want to thank those who have submitted changes and notes. Please if you know there is an error on my site or a different name spelling other than what is on the actual records let me know so that I can post a note for other researchers. There will be a link with your name and email address as the person who submitted the information so provide me an email if you want it listed. Hi All, I have finally finished putting the Kentucky Pennington marriages on my site I have added 135 new marriages tonight. To see the new Pennington names go to www.gentrails.com/kymar.htm To see if your family is there do a search/find using your web browser. If you find any errors let me know. I have typed so much this evening I am sure I mistyped something. So please use this only as a guide. If the record was recorded on microfilm then there should be some type of bond or certificate in the county it occured. I am sure I am missing a lot of Pennington Marriages. I have not searched all of the KY microfilm at LDS. Maybe someday I will get them all copied and online. Kristie Setser
I am researching the children of Rev. Charles Pennington and wife Cassandra (GROUP V). Only two of their children are known for certain. I believe that there possibly is an additional son, Charles Jr. Does anyone have a stray Charles who could range from about 15 to 25 years old (give or take a little) as his family traveled from Bucks Co. PA to Rowan County NC 1785, to Grayson County VA in 1790, then to Russell County VA in 1807 for five years, then moving to White County TN. I think that he would most likely show up in Southwest VA. during the latter part of their travels. If anyone has a Charles that doesn't fit anywhere maybe he belongs to GR V, Thanks for your help. Ewin Kiser
While working on Rev. Charles Pennington, GR V, I ran across an isolated bit of information that I thought might be of interest to someone, perhaps the Pennington Gap people. I found a Timothy Pennington who sold a 100-acre tract on Mockerson Ridge in Russell County on 2 May 1804. Source - Russell County VA DB3, p488. The location is in the area where Rev. Charles P (GR V) and son John moved into and bought property about four years later. Ewin Kiser
Does anyone have a Pete Pennington married to Grace Setser in their database Aunt Grace passed away in 1965 but Pete may still be living although he would be pushing 100 years old. I find no death records for him. They resided in Hamilton County, OH. Thanks Kristie Setser

I am not really sure how Wilson came to be except from my father, I also went way back on the Penningtons, and I saw some first name for some of the Penningtons, and I also am from Group 6, a descendant of Levi from North Carolina. All ,of my daddys people settled in and around Lamar County town of Sulligent, Alabama, maybe we are some kin, always want to know who the family is my bunch has and never was close and that has always bothered me. If you can dig up some kinship then please lets see where we are from and who knows maybe we could strike up some news for sure. Waiting a reply and God Bless W. N. Pennington, Jr., I am 63 yrs old and am living in Obrien, Florida, just a few miles from the SuwanneeRiver. I have a darling for a wife and we have eight children 4 boys 4 girls, and will soon be expecting#21 and 22 grandchildren (both boys) we have a nice motor home love flea markets, and auctions, we try to attend auctions anywhere we can find nice stuff and I played and sang Gospel Music all my life, and just re- cently retired from all that even though I still have my equipment, just a quick profile of how we spend our lives. Simmer down, there, Wilson, bless your heart! It was meant to be a joke, albeit the kind that makes us genealogists laugh even as we cringe...... hence, "a genealogist's nightmare." Just before you turn your interest especially toward the millionaire show, I guess people do lose interest, in things and the TV and Computers for games have become the NATIONAL PAST TIME, I really wonder what goes thru peoples minds, especially the man that threw the OLD BIBLE in the trash because he could not gain any personal ill gotten gain (money), that really upsets me be- cause that only reflects what I have said for years, about people and A DOLLAR., THE WORTH OF A DOLLAR means more to certain people than maybe someone that could only quite possibly afford 50cents. Rather than take it home and put it away, he chose to put it in the trash. I get in trouble all the time for speaking my mind, so I will sign off before I make someone mad, just wanted to elab orate on the the WORD, THAT fell to the trash can!!!!! Sounds like you are now finally out of the genealogy bus- iness.
