    1. [Pennington-L] looking for William F campbell
    2. sadie stamper greer
    3. Once again I am pitching these names out for some feedback. William F Campbell married Olive (Campbell ) around the turn of the 19th century..earliest records 1815 .They were said to have been in the Wilkes/Iredell part of the country...tradition has it Olive was the daughter of Adam and Dicey (Campbell) Campbell... I am getting absolutely nowhere with this and feel maybe William was the son of Adam and Dicey instead...They did have a son William listed in one of the census records...I am planning a trip to NC soon and would like to be able to do some tying in with these kin....William F had seven children by Olive. After she died he then married Polly Debord and had seven more children...Polly had a son by previous relationship. Unknown if there was a marriage .no data..his name was Jim Wilson and I do have data on the family he had.. If you have data and would like to share.contact me.I have lots of data about their children....just trying to dig deeper ... Cousin Sadie in VA

    1. [Pennington-L] Still trying to find my group ?
    2. Julie Vandersluys
    3. Hi Everyone.... Well Its been a long time since I spoke with you all and I am still trying to find where I fit in....If at all !! :-( It's a Bit like a kid starting high school and he/she doesn't want to end up hanging around with the wrong crowd :-) This is where I am at.... My Grandmother Amy PENNINGTON was born in 1888 in Cheltenham Street USD in the District of St Georges Manchester..(Pleasseeeeeee dont leave me yet.) She was born to Frederick and Mary Jane nee OWEN...Now they were married in Christ Church in Bradford and Beswick parish in 1878...According to the marriage cert Frederick's father was Samuel PENNINGTON a wood carver....Now I have tried everywhere to find Samuel in 1878 in Lancshire and can't find him..I have gone back over the census details and I find that on the 1881 census Frederick is telling the census taker he was born in BRADFORD YORKSHIRE..So I have now started looking in Bradford York....I have just today found this extract from a will on the West Riding archives.. " Richard Nichols 86 Kensington St. Bradford Yorkshire Gentleman died January 23, 1895 PROBATE WAKEFIELD April 25 to John Benjamin Nichols and Samuel Pennington WASTE DEALERS EFFECTS L 1615 4s 9d This will is located at The York Probate sub-registry in Duncombe Place, York .. Also this carrier information PENNINGTON Jno, Gst & Gallaway Mattw. Fst to Leeds, Mon, wed & Fri at 12 night DOES ANYONE KNOW OF THESE TWO ?? and or any information which they think maybe relevant.... many thanks for reading this far if u have cheers and good luck with all your own searching... 2. Dear Julie, saw your post today and I am desperately hoping that we might have a connection. My gr-grandfather, George William Pennington was the son of George W. Pennington and Mary Ann Homeshaw of England. He was born April 15, 1859 in Sheffield, Yorkshire Co., Eng. He immigrated to the United States with his parents in 1863. Hope this is of good use to and me. I didn't realize there are so many Penningtons out there. Judy
