    3. Hi Fellow Researchers, Thank you for the census info. Andrew the Pennington family has a research group and I think the URL is: www.penningtonresearch.org If this is not the correct URL please let me know. Andrew I do have a James Caudill s/o James Caudill and Mary Yarborough Caudill who md. Abigail Caudill but she is listed as his second wife. But I list William C. Caudill who md. 1) Nancy Craft as the s/o James Caudill and his first wife Mary A. Adams. These are confusing lines to research. I do list "Squire Billy" as the s/o James W. Pennington and Eleanor Caudill Pennington. Good Luck, Ramona On Sunday, March 31, 2002 11:59 AM clouievaughan@worldnet.att.net wrote: Listed in the 1870 Elliot Co. 3. Looking for any relatives of George H. Pennington (my great grandfather), son George A. Pennington. George H was probably born 1850 - 1860 in the Boston area. His first wife (Mary?) gave him 2-3 children, second wife had 7-8. George A (my grandfather) was born to the first wife in 1889, died in Washington, DC 1965, married Nora Niland, had two children, Mary, and John (my father). 3. Good Morning Gen-Pics, Nick and All, I am not afraid of doing family research; and family history that has shocked me I have found in Court Records-Census Info and through other family researchers-not DNA. Here's an example of hurting other people and even more respecting others doing family research. My GGreat Grandmother is Rutha Sturgill Sturgill who md. Isacc Lewis Sturgill; s/o Alvin Sturgill and Nancy Jane Fraley; Oct. 5, 1860 Lawrence Co. KY. On Gramma's death cert under Father my GGreat Uncle David Sturgill wrote: "She Never Knew". Since the family did not write "She Never Knew" under Mother-I thought Gramma did know who her Mother was but did not say. I posted and posted messages on finding Gramma's Mother and Father and heard from the family of her Mother. In the message was the name of Gramma's Mother and these words; "Please let this go now; we do not know the name of her Father". Out of respect for Gramma's matenal line; I have let this go. Why they would worry about this after all these years-I don't know. What I do know is that I am thankful I was given the name of Gramma's mother; and now I follow her surname history and gen research. I think Respect must be shown to other researchers; and their wishes obeyed. Have a Good Day, Ramona Reseaching: Pennington-Fraley, Pennington-Sturgill, Pennington-Caudill. On Mon Apr 15 15:57:49 2002 genpics@iopener.net wrote: Nick, I think that you are the one who misunderstood what was being pointed out. As a whole we are not afraid of the testing. The question is what do you do when someone volunteers thinking that they are a biological surname person and then find out they at not. There are many ways this could happen and all are not pleasurable. Some day an unsuspecting person is going to get a big jolt from the DNA testing. The bottom line is are we really ready to destroy an innocent person? Personally I don't want to see anyone getting hurt from this, but no one can assure me that it isn't going to happen.
