Want to learn more about genealogy? Visit Mother Hubbard's Cupboard Combined Genealogy Services at http://www.rootsweb.com/~genclass/index.html . The site allows you to take free on-line genealogy classes which offer MUCH guidance, information and links! It is well worth taking advantage of and you "go to class" on your own time. There are currently eight classes and more will be added shortly. Gene Pennington (Group 7) Research Director Pennington Research Association www.penningtonresearch.org
I have been buying a few of them from Heritage Quest, P.O. Box 329 593 West 100 North Bountiful Utah 84011-0329. (801) 298-5358 [email protected] www.heritagequest.com The cost is something like $20.00 each, or $15.00 each if you are a member. They don't have all the census put on CDs yet, but they are working on it. On some of them, the resolution is not as good as what I would like, but they are all useable. They come with a viewer that lets you magnify, etc. don Don Erickson, Colorado Springs CO [email protected] www.pcisys.net/~don_erickson -----Original Message----- From: Tom Pennington <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Tuesday, February 15, 2000 4:45 PM Subject: [PENNINGTON-L] Federal census on C.D.'s >There has been another request for the federal census on CDSs. There has been another request for the federal census on CDSs. I too would like to find some place that sells them, and feel that there may be several others on these lists that would be in the same category. I vaguely remember an address for such wares, but do not remember where it was. Seems that Doug Moore had something posted on microfilm, but we are looking for CDs, of the original census, not alphabeticized. If anyone knows of such an address, please let us know. Thanks, Tom
Thought maybe you could use this. Sounds interesting. Mary, I may have already replied to this post. Computer coughed up a lot of old mail recently, the majority of which I had long ago dealt with. In the mail was this post from you. I am descended from Ruth PENNINGTON, daughter of Levi of NC. Ruth married Henry LAMB in Randolph Co., NC. They moved to Floyd County, IN, in southeast Indiana. I ran across the name of Zack PENNINGTON in a small history of southern Indiana. He was from Harrison Co., IN. I posted some information about him quite a while ago. Do you recall seeing it? If not, I can look it up and post again. Let me know. Hello folks, My maiden name was PENNINGTON and I am new to this list. I have very few facts, but have been told that my grandfather, JOHN PENNINGTON, sailed from England about 1875 to visit his uncle who lived in Louisiana. His uncle wanted him to make his home with him, and in return he would leave him all his land and money. John had a young lady back home so didn't stay in the US. I know it is a long shot, but does anyone know of a PENNINGTON in Louisiana about 1875? Regards, Penny Minikin, Cleveleys, England

So I am copying the KYMONROE list as it has many subscribers who are researching the Moore, Mulkey, Marrs, Pennington and so on lines, and they will probably be able to help you. It is am amazing story about how you found Sarah Jane Moore Pennington's grave: Where is it located? I do connect to one Ephram Pennington, but I'll have to check to see how. If you are not subscribed to the KYMONROE I will forward some of the messages I am getting relating to these lines. Thanks, Jemima
