Hi Linda, I remember war bonds and stamps and they were sold at school. Those who purchased the most stamps/bonds named a jeep which the Army brought to us. It was named the Monteith Nightingale. It must have been intended for the Medical Corps. I finally cashed my War Bonds when Uncle Sam stopped paying interest. I still have a partially filled stamp booklet. (Guess my gray hair is showing.
