Issac GRIFFITH b. 1819/20 m. Elizabeth b. abt 1815. Elizabeth who? Are you of or researching Brecknock twp, Berks county or possibly Caernarvon or Brecknock twp of Lancaster County? Although the surname is Welsh the Griffith family was in the area very, very early and a John GRIFFITH may have immigrated prior to 1700 and his name appears in Bio. Annals of Lanc. county etc. Issac's mother was raised mennonite-Elizabeth GOOD b. abt 1799(m. Evan GRIFFITH) and they may have been dutchified early on. The family also belonged to Allegheny Reformed near Alleghenyville, Brecknock twp, Berks County. Issac's descendants and kin lived near Troxell's hill in Brecknock twp, Berks County and they or kin lived also in the vicinity of Turkey Hill in Caernarvon twp, Lanc. Co. The GRIFFITH family inhabited the area prior to the striking of the current Lancaster/Berks county line, so their roots straddle the line in this region. I'm interested in ANY GRIFFITH person from this area, if you have any in your database. thanks for any help. rod ==== PENNA-DUTCH Mailing List ==== Haven't found a post of interest?
