Carol, Here's something on the Schuylkill County, PA OTTO family - OTTO, Henrich, born ?, known for "Fratur work", father of: OTTO, William B., born May 25, 1761 in Brecknock Twp., Lancaster Co., PA. First wife unknown, Second wife Margareth KESSLER, b. March 5, 1784 dau. of Micheal KESSLER. Family moved to Lower Mahantongo Twp., Berks Co. (area now known as Hegins Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA.) William was known also for his "Fratur" work. Children of William OTTO and wife #1: Anna Maria, b. Nov. 15, 1788 Christina, b. Oct. 26, 1793 Magdalena, b. Nov. 6, 1795 Catarina, b. March 20, 1803 Children of William OTTO and wife #2: Jonathan, b. Sept. 22, 1805 - married Susanna BRESSLER, born March 20, 1805. Their children were: Jonathan B., b. Sept. 22, 1837 (living in 1930) Nathaniel B., b. 1840, d. May 29, 1930 (fought in Civil War, taking place of brother, John. Plus John, William, Solomon, Annie, Susanna, David, Joel, Katie, and Rebecca. Salome, b. April 22, 1807 - married Daniel GEHRES. Daniel, b. Sept. 28, 1809 - married and moved to Illinois. David H., b. Jan. 23, 1815 - married Catherine HAUBERACHER (1814 to 1898) - d. 1874. Their children were: Carolina, William B., Marie, Lydia, and Aaron H., b. Sept. 14, 1846 - married in 1869 to Rebecca BRESSLER - plus Hiram, David H., Tobias, and Isabella. Peter, b. Sept. 23, 1817, d. Nov. 28, 1906 - married Catharine STUTZMAN, b. Nov. 11, 1821 and d. Dec. 30, 1905. They lived in Fountain, he was a carpenter, had a white beard. Both are buried in Union cemetery, Fountain, PA. Their children were: Anna, b. Jan. 4, 1839 in Hegins, d. April 11, 1920 in Barry Twp., Schuylkill Co. Mar. John Philip LUCAS B. July 23, 1840 Barry Twp. d. there Aug. 23, 1918, son of Philip & Sarah Salome (NEY) LUCAS. Both buried in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (called KIMMEL's) Cemetery, Barry Twp. Peter - killed in Civil War Simon Peter b. Feb. 4, 1843 in Mahantongo Twp. and bapt. April 17, 1843 by Honorable PARADENGER with parents as witnesses. Died Nov. 4, 1919. Married Abbey REBUCK (1838 - Dec. 11, 1907) Both buried Union Cemetery, Fountain. Children: Emma Jane (1868-1952) mar. John SCHADLE (1867-1973), s. of John & Eliz.(CARL)SCHADLE. Son ______? Nathan, - married Catharine HAND - no children. Elizabeth (Lizzie) - married ________ FOGLE. Mary - mar. William THOMAS, had 6 children. Catharine (8-4-1852 - 2-9-1929) mar. Henry WILLIAMS, had 4 children. John, mar.
