Hello, I am also searching the Aaron Hoff of Limerick Twp., PA line. I descend from a different daughter of him and his wife, Elizabeth Schäuffele (that's the German way of spelling it; if the umlaut doesn't come out, it's spelled Schaeuffele). Yvonne, have you checked with St. James Lutheran Church and St. James UCC in Limerick (seperate churches)? It appears that Catharina was a member of the UCC church, but I don't know how far back the UCC records go. I'll see what they have at the Limerick Hist. Soc. today, if I go. Sharon, could you look up an Aaron Hoff, of Limerick (and possibly Frederick and Douglass) Twps., in Montgomery Co., PA? He was the son of Daniel Hoff and Elizabeth Freeby (Elizabeth was also married to John Smith), and was born on 17 Feb 1822. Daniel Hoff and Elizabeth apparently had another son, Ludwig (or Lewis), who was born in 1819. Could you see if this family is mentioned in any of your books? Thanks. Mark A. She is the d/o Aaron Hoff 1822-1913 & Elizabeth Scheifley 1820-1903. She m. Jacob Maurer/Mawrey/Mowrey. They had one child Elizabeth b.6-12-1873. She is the first wife of my g. grandfather.
