I am looking for evidence of a birth that occurred on March 25, 1818, possibly in Montgomery Co. Peleg M. RUMFIELD was born on this date in PA. I think there is a possibility that his parents were (John) Philip Rumfield and Rosina Minner. This couple belonged to the New Hanover Lutheran Church in Montgomery Co. Rosina died in January of the following year. Her death was reported in the UNABHAENGIGER REPUBLIKANER newspaper on January 23, 1819. I believe that Philip remarried and moved to Ohio by the 1820 census when he appears in Jefferson Co. He lived in Ohio until his death in 1857, though he moved several times during this period.
